The Southland girls basketball team lost 69-47 to Dover-Eyota (3-1 overall, 2-0 Three Rivers), which is ranked No. 7 in AA, in Adams Friday.

McKenzie Kirtz scored 16 points to lead the Rebels (1-1 overall, 1-1 Three Rivers).

“They beat us up inside and they beat us on the boards,” Southland head coach Russ Foster said. “They’re a very good team and we couldn’t really play them inside. I was proud of my girls with how hard they battled in the second half.”
