The Austin couple accused of producing child pornography will wait until February for their federal trial to start.
Federal prosecutors and attorneys for Anthony and Deborah Edge jointly filed motions last month asking for more time to prepare their cases. The Edges’ trial is expected to start Feb. 23.
Anthony Edge and his wife, Deborah, face a combined 11 counts of federal criminal sexual conduct charges for allegedly producing several videos and images of child pornography in their Austin home.
Deborah voluntarily gave up her parental rights to the Edges’ four children in June, while Mower County District Judge Kevin Siefken removed Anthony’s parental rights in October.
Anthony previously registered as a sex offender after he was convicted in 2006 of possessing nude pictures of minors. He was charged in 2004 in Olmsted County after police found about 2,300 images of child pornography on a computer he left behind at a former residence.
