The Riverland Community College men’s basketball team won its fifth straight game to start the season when it beat Luther JV 77-68 in Riverland Gym Tuesday.

The Blue Devils (5-0 overall) trailed by six, but they rallied to lead by as many as 10 in the last eight minutes.

“The key was we really picked up the defensive pressure up in the last six minutes,” RCC head coach Scott Koenigs said. “We got a lot of steals and a lot of lay-ups.”

Dearionte Hudson had 14 points and seven assists for RCC and Robert Parker had 12 points and seven steals.
