Blooming Prairie girls basketball team beats KW in OT

The Blooming Prairie girls basketball team prevailed with a 58-52 win in overtime at Kenyon-Wanamingo (6-2 overall) Tuesday.
The No. 6 ranked Awesome Blossoms (8-1 overall) led by double digits in the first half, but the Knights came all the way back to take the lead in the second half. BP’s Madison Worke hit back-to-back 3-pointers to give BP a 43-40 lead late in regulation and BP outscored KW 9-3 in the extra session.
“It was a good win for the kids. Out of our wins, this was the biggest win so far,” BP head coach John Worke said. “We had some good possessions offensively and we moved the ball around.”
