The Hayfield boys basketball team played strong in the paint as it beat Zumbrota-Mazeppa (0-9 overall, 0-6 HVL) 64-51 in Hayfield Thursday.

Aaron Anderson, a junior, tallied 21 points and 11 rebounds as he recorded his third straight double-double for the Vikings (4-5 overall, 3-3 HVL).

“Aaron Anderson’s been a tear here,” Hayfield head coach Chris Pack said. “Him and Taylor Ausrud, they’ve both been solid in the inside and that’s helped. I’m really pleased with those two.”
