Harm Steven Loverink, 83, of Rose Creek, Minnesota, passed away Sunday, Nov. 23, 2014, at his home.

Harm was born Jan. 20, 1931, by Lake Geneva near Hollandale, Minnesota. On June 8, 1951, he was united in marriage to Lola Culbert of Elkton, Minnesota. The couple enjoyed 63 years together. Harm was a loving husband, father and ‘Papa’ to many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. As a farmer, he enjoyed his horses, fishing, hunting, and attending auctions. Harm was well-known as a good neighbor who would always lend a helping hand and offer hospitality. As a God-fearing man of faith, he loved the Lord and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Austin, Minnesota. After 30 years at Hormel, he enjoyed retirement. Harm loved spending time with 25 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, two great great-grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and eight step-great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife Lola Loverink of Rose Creek; his children: Steven (Marie) Loverink of Medford, Minnesota, Lynette (Wayde) Groh of Austin, Minnesota, Douglas (Donna) Loverink of Maple Island, Minnesota, Suzette Loverink of Lyle, Minnesota, Renae (Duane) Henaman of Lyle, Minnesota, Juanita (Mark) Montefiori of Carmel, Indiana, Victoria (Eric) Ford of Preston, Minnesota, Rustin Loverink (Melissa Lawson) of LeRoy, Minnesota, Rick (Lori) Scholten of Steen, Minnesota, and special ‘foster’ son Daryl Thompson (Susan) of Austin, Minnesota; his brother Garret Loverink of Stewartville, Minnesota, sister Gertie Richards of Olathe, Kansas, and step-brother Jerry (Carol) Loverink of St. Paul, Minnesota.

He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Rena Loverink; his brothers: John, Jack, Everett, and Herbert; and his sisters: Mary, Rena, Jennie, Dorothy, Stella, and Nellie.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014, at Grace Baptist Church in Austin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, at Worlein Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
