FARGO, N.D. — Police have arrested a Minnesota man on attempted murder and criminal mischief charges after a fight outside a downtown Fargo hotel.

The 20-year-old man from Mahnomen is accused of stabbing another person multiple times during the alcohol-fueled fight between two groups of people Sunday night in the parking lot of the Scandia Hotel.

Police say another person was hit over the head with some sort of object. That person was treated at a hospital and released.

The stabbing victim was listed in stable condition at the hospital.

Formal charges were not immediately filed against the suspect.
