2 injured in early morning rollover on I-90

Two area residents were injured in a rollover on Interstate 90 early this morning.

Tyler Ferguson of Blooming Prairie was driving a 1999 Ford Super Duty westbound on Interstate 90 when the vehicle lost control and rolled around 3:38 a.m., according to a Minnesota State Patrol report.

Ferguson, 18, and Cody Weidmann of Austin, a 22-year-old passenger in the truck, were both taken to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin for injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

Despite blowing snow Monday and overnight, the report listed road conditions as dry.

Along with the State Patrol, the Austin Police Department, Mower County Sheriff’s Office, Gold Cross Ambulance and the Austin Fire Department assisted on scene.

Alcohol was not detected in either man’s system, according to the report.
