Primrose Retirement Community of Austin announced Amy Miller as the new director of nursing for the independent and assisted living community.

Miller will guide and oversee the overall care of residents and, in conjunction with Executive Director Shannon Pacholl, manage the nursing staff. She will also ensure compliance with all necessary regulations.

“We are very excited that Amy has joined our management team,” Pacholl said in a press release. “She has some wonderful experience, and more importantly, she will bring a great deal of passion and energy for our residents. I have no doubt that she will help take Primrose to the next level.”

Miller, a graduate of Riverland Community College in Austin, was previously the director of housing and nursing at the Adams Assisted Living for three years. She has also been a case manager at the Adams Assisted Living and a flight attendant with Northwest Airlines.

“I am looking forward to working with our staff to continue enhancing the lives of our residents and their families,” Miller said in a press release.

Primrose Retirement Community of Austin, located at 1701 22nd Ave. SW, consists of 40 independent living apartment homes and 24 assisted-living apartment homes.
