MOORHEAD — Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton and Republican challenger Jeff Johnson are taking the stage for a second debate that will also include the Independence Party’s Hannah Nicollet.
Wednesday night’s debate in Moorhead is the second in a series of five in October. The election is four weeks off.
Dayton maintains a comfortable lead in polls, but Johnson’s team argues the race is sure to tighten given Minnesota’s history of close elections. Nicollet has been running a low-budget campaign and has been in the single digits in most polls.
Forum News Service is sponsoring the debate on the Minnesota State University campus. It is due to last 90 minutes. It will be streamed live on websites run by Forum Communications Co.
