The Austin girls soccer team closed out its regular season with a 2-0 loss to Owatonna (10-4-2 overall, 8-2-1 Big Nine) in Art Hass Stadium Thursday.

Chloe Summerfield had 13 saves for the Packers (1-8-5 overall, 1-7-3 Big Nine) and Austin had four shots on goal.

The Huskies took a 1-0 lead on a first half free kick and they added a goal in the second half.

“In the first half we played kind of flat. We let [Owatonna] dominate us.” Austin head coach Enrique Camarena-Corzo said. “In the second half we played more aggressive.”

Austin finishes the season in 11th place out of 12 teams in the Big Nine.

The Packers will open the Section 2A tournament Tuesday at 7 p.m.
