The Blooming Prairie football team had trouble running the ball against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown (0-2 overall), but it didn’t matter as the Awesome Blossoms’ passing game was on full throttle in BP Friday.
BP senior quarterback John Rumpza went 16-for-25 with 335 passing yards and four touchdowns in the win and Cole Sunde hauled in nine passes for 215 yards and three TDs.
Rumpza started the game on a tear as he hit Sunde for a 72-yard bomb to make it 7-0 and he found Sam Swenson for a 21-yard score to make it 13-0 BP in the first quarter.
