The Southland football team suffered another injury as it lost 30-7 at Goodhue (2-0 overall, 2-0 SFA Blue) Friday.
Southland trailed just 10-7 towards the end of the first half, but the Wildcats threw a 15-yard TD pass on the last play of the half and they dominated the second half.
“They wanted it more than we did,” Southland head coach Shawn Kennedy said. “We got out-played in almost ever position imaginable. Goodhue’s a good football team. I just really felt we could play with them.”
The Rebels (1-2 overall, 1-2 SFA Blue) who are already without linebacker Jackson Koenigs lost senior Colton Allen to an injury and Kennedy feared the injury was serious.
“Both of our middle linebackers are out and with no depth it’s hard,” Kennedy said.
