Lyle-Pacelli volleyball team scores a rare win over Spring Grove

The Lyle-Pacelli volleyball team brought out its best and it beat Spring Grove (7-7 overall, 4-2 SEC) for the first time by scores of 25-17, 20-25, 25-10, 25-16 on the road Thursday.

The Athletics (4-6 overall, 3-3 SEC) went 85-for-86 on serves with 14 aces and they racked up 82 digs.

“We had a much better performance than Tuesday. It was a collective team effort and we had lots of back and forth play,” LP head coach Lindsay Leif said. “They’re one of those teams that we’ve always had a mental block against and it was huge to finally beat them.”
