According to city officials, road construction on Eighth Avenue Southwest from 12th to 18th streets should wrap up in time for the Mower County Fair.

Public Works Director Steven Lang said workers will pave asphalt on Wednesday and Thursday this week, with Friday as a makeup day in case of weather. Workers will also do some slight grading along the boulevards as well. Everything should wrap up by the time the fair opens on Aug. 5.

“We are on schedule,” Lang said.

In addition, other street reconstruction projects are also on time, according to Lang.
