Feds cancel state immigration office move

ST. PAUL — Immigrants can continue using a convenient Twin Cities office located near a bus line to apply for green cards or take their citizenship tests.

Federal officials Tuesday abandoned plans to move the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services office from its current location near the Mall of America to western Bloomington. The plan drew objections from immigration attorneys and members of Minnesota’s congressional delegation.
