Ardys Mae Johnson, 73, of Austin, Minn., died Saturday morning, July 12, 2014, at Our House Senior Living.

She was born on April 23, 1941, in Litchfield, Minn., to Herman and Alberta (Blackwell) Nelson. On June 16, 1963, Ardys married Nolan Johnson. The couple later divorced. Ardys worked for Hormel Foods as a secretary for many years. She enjoyed attending church and was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran in Austin. Ardys also enjoyed camping and spending time with her family and friends.

Ardys is survived by her daughter Jana Gray, her son Kelly Johnson, and her ex-husband Nolan Johnson, all of Austin; two grandchildren, Trinity and Destiny Gray; her sister Alice Reese, and her brother Arnold Nelson.

She was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Alberta Nelson; her brother Donovan Nelson; and brother-in-law Gary Reese.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin with Pastor William Odermann officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
