Robert “Bob” Danielson, 66, of Grand Meadow, Minn., passed away Thursday, June 26, 2014, at his home.

Robert Wayne Danielson was born Jan. 16, 1948, to Elnor and Myrtle (Olson) Danielson in Preston, Minn. He was a graduate of Lanesboro High School in Lanesboro, Minn. On July 27, 1968, Bob was united in marriage to Margary Sabanish at Pilot Mound near Chatfield, Minn. From 1968 to 1971, Bob served in the United States Army special forces. After serving in the army, Bob worked as a custodian in the maintenance department at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. He also drove bus for Rochester City Lines. Bob had a great sense of humor and was a great father and friend. Card playing, fishing and deer hunting were other activities Bob enjoyed.

Bob is survived by his wife, Marge of Grand Meadow; daughters, Diane (Todd) Tollefson of Lakeville, Minn.; and Dawn (Dan) Tart of Grand Meadow; seven grandchildren, Luke, Will, and Grace Tollefson and Brady, Brandon, Chelsey, and Billy Tart; siblings, Darlene (Bruce) Sutherland of Chatfield; Marlys (Alvin) Paulson of Rushford, Minn.; Phyllis Ellis of New Hope, Minn.; Marilyn (Dick) Lykken of Waseca, Minn.; Gloria (Nevin) Vrieze of Fountain, Minn.; Roger (Linda) Danielson of Chatfield; and Linda (Tom) Jensen of Texas; sister-in-law, Barb of Rochester; and special canine friend Tasha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elnor and Myrtle, brothers, Vernon and Jerry Danielson, and a brother in infancy.

Funeral services for Robert “Bob” Danielson will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the Grand Meadow Lutheran Church in Grand Meadow with Pastor Beth Krolak officiating. Burial will take place in the Grand Meadow Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Hindt Funeral Home in Grand Meadow and one hour prior to the service at the church.
