ProBuild is closing

ProBuild will close its Austin location at 3714 Fourth St. NW around July 30, a spokesperson with the company’s Denver headquarters confirmed last week.
ProBuild sells lumber and building supplies to professional building contractors, but not the general public. However, ProBuild is selling off its merchandise at a discounted price and that sale is open to the public.
The closure is due to market conditions and a lack of future growth potential in the area, according to the spokesperson.
ProBuild has more than 400 stores nationwide and about 20 in Minnesota. Austin’s store has about eight employees.
