Minnesota State Colleges and Universities says it has reached collective bargaining agreements with two of its three faculty unions.
The agreements affect non-teaching faculty at state universities and faculty at state colleges, according to a MnSCU news release. Both agreements cover the two-year period ending June 30, 2015.
The MnSCU Board of Trustees has approved the first agreement with the Minnesota State University Association of Administrative & Service Faculty, or MSUAASF. That union represents nearly 800 non-teaching faculty at state universities in the MnSCU system, according to the release.
Negotiators also have reached a tentative agreement with the Minnesota State College Faculty, or MSCF, which includes more than 5,000 faculty members. The agreement is subject to a ratification vote by MSCF members.
Both agreements require approval by the Minnesota Legislature before taking effect.
MnSCU comprises seven state universities and 24 colleges, including St. Cloud State University and St. Cloud Technical & Community College.
