Graduations

—Robert Wahlert of Austin graduated from Boston College with a bachelor of science degree from the University’s Wallace E. Carroll School of Management, with majors in marketing and finance. Commencement was held on May 19 in Alumni Stadium on the Boston College campus in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

—Ciara Marshall of Austin graduated with a bachelor of arts degree and cum laude from Gustavus Adolphus College with a major in management during the school’s annual commencement exercises on Sunday, June 1, 2014.

—Ingrid Baudler of Austin, daughter of Lisa and Thomas Baudler, graduated from Luther College. She majored in political science and English. She graduated summa cum laude.

—Rachael Landherr of Austin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in May. She received a bachelor of science in early childhood education.

—Andrew Peterson of Austin graduated with a masters degree from Des Moines University May 24, 2014. His parents are Jared and Jill Petersen, and Laura Petersen,

—Robert Lamp of Grand Meadow graduated from St. Cloud Technical and Community College in spring 2014. He received a degree in electrical construction technology.

Dean’s lists

—Amanda Grav of Austin, made the Augustana College dean’s list for the spring semester of the 2013-2014 academic year.

—Alexander Mueller of Austin, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. Mueller is pursuing a bachelor of science in business economics.

—Alexis Balgeman of Lyle was named to the president’s list at Drake University for the spring 2014 semester.

Scholarships

—Alexandria Nuemann of Austin received a Licensure Exam Student Support Fund scholarship for $200. She is a senior at St. Cloud State University.

Cooperative Response Center

Two Austin High School graduates received $1,000 scholarships from Cooperative Response Center, Inc., for their post- secondary education costs.

—Erin Dankert plans to attend the University of Minnesota in Duluth, in the fall to pursue a pre-med degree.

—Sela Fadness will attend Hamline University in St. Paul, also to pursue a pre-med degree.
