Crews rescue woman from mine after fall

CHISHOLM — Crews have rescued a 30-year-old woman who apparently fell off a cliff of an old mine pit in Chisholm in northeastern Minnesota.
The Hibbing Daily Tribune reports the woman fell about 100 feet down Monday.
Chisholm Police Chief Vern Manner says the victim was recovered around 4:30 p.m. and brought up the hill of the cliff. She was being airlifted to a Duluth hospital.
Authorities say the woman had serious injuries.
