Priscilla Mary Duren Kiefer, 88, of Adams, Minn., died Monday, May 26, 2014, at her home.

She was born on Oct. 16, 1925, in Cazenovia, Wis., to John and Mary (Weber) Duren. She attended Visitation Catholic School through eighth grade. She married Vernon Kiefer on Aug. 21, 1945, in Stacyville, Iowa. Priscilla was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the CCW. She loved spending time with her many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, baking, collecting teapots, and praying.

Priscilla is survived by her children, Sandra (Kenneth) Jax of Apple Valley, Minn., June (Lawrence) Smith of Adams, Carol (Michael) Murphy of Austin, Minn., Linda (Adry) Huemann of Champlin, Minn., Terance (Carol) Kiefer of Adams, Vernon Kiefer, Jr. (Jolene Nelson) of Austin, John (Carol) Kiefer of Rose Creek, Dean (Emily) Kiefer of Adams, David (Susan) Kiefer of Austin, Gene Kiefer of Wanamingo, Minn., Rosanne (Mark) May of Johnsburg, Minn., Mary (Mark) Sedelbauer of Hixton, Wis., Thomas Kiefer of Adams, Leonard (Gail) Kiefer of Rose Creek, and Barbara (John) Kloeckner of Johnsburg; 45 grandchildren; 57 great grandchildren; brothers Elijius, Otto, Hubert, and John B. Duren, Jr.; sister Olga Thurnau; and nieces and nephews.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Kiefer; granddaughter Ashton May; daughter-in-law Jolene Kiefer; her parents; brothers Gerald, Steven, Raphael, and Joseph Duren; and sister Madeline Blaser.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams with Father Ruben Spinler officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Adams Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, with a 4 p.m. rosary and 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will also be held at the funeral home from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
