Woodson Kindergarten Center is one step closer to grant money for a potential school greenhouse.
The kindergarten school is among the top 50 eligible projects for one of two $20,000 or one of 15 $10,000 grants from the seed company Seeds of Change. School staff had asked area residents to vote for Woodson in an online poll for the funding.
“It would help us hit every science standard we have,” teacher Jason Denzer said last week.
Woodson will undergo a final judging period and grants will be awarded on May 5.
