Program on bird trip to be presented at Nature Center

Carrol Henderson, professional wildlife biologist and author recognized nationwide for the conservation of nongame wildlife and endangered species will present “Bird Study Trip to Cuba,” at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center.
Henderson and his wife, Ethelle, led their first-ever trip to Cuba to study the island nation’s birdlife. The Hendersons teamed up with the nonprofit group Friendship Association. The trip opened up Cuba’s bird species that included the Cuban trogon, the bee hummingbird and greater flamingoes.
