Funeral services for Norma Rich will be held 11 a.m.. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at the First Presbyterian Church in LeRoy, Minn., with Pastor Gary Titusdahl officiating. Burial will take place in the LeRoy Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at the Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy, and one hour prior to the service at church.

Norma Rich, 92, of LeRoy, passed away Monday evening, April 7, 2014, in her home at Wildwood Grove, LeRoy, with her family by her side.

Being the oldest daughter of Robert and Hazel (Norman) Hall, Norma was born April 10, 1921, on a farm in rural Cumro, Neb. She attended school in Custer County through the 8th grade and graduated from Ord High School in 1939. After high school, Norma worked for Ord Photo Shop. On January 29, 1941, Norma was united in marriage to Harold H. Rich in Ord, Neb. They moved to Keurnne, Ill., and worked for a farmer for six months. In December of 1942, the couple moved to Minneapolis. In 1942, they had a son, Ronald, and in 1945, they had a daughter, Diane. In 1947, the family moved to LeRoy, and Norma lived there for the rest of her life. She and her husband owned several businesses in LeRoy and lastly a grain elevator in Chester, Iowa. She was the bookkeeper. In 1978, they sold their elevator business to their son, Ron and daughter-in-law, Sharon. Then Norma and Harold wintered in Mesa, Ariz., for 20 years until Harold’s health wouldn’t allow it. Norma was a member of the Presbyterian Church in LeRoy for more than 50 years. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for 50 years. In 2001, Harold and Norma moved into Wildwood Grove. They both enjoyed living there. Norma enjoyed playing cards, having flowers on her patio, and helping out in the garden in the backyard. She will be missed very much by her family.

She leaves to mourn her son, Ronald (Sharon) Rich of LeRoy; daughter, Diane Domino of Apple Valley, Minn.; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and sister, Carol Simpson of Loveland, Colo. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hazel, husband, Harold, son-in-law, Rex (Rusty) Domino, and sister, Gail Dawork.
