Austin police are investigating the circumstances around a man who was shot in his genitalia Saturday.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin reported a 35-year-old was shot in his genitals at about 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

The man was taken to Mayo Clinic in Rochester for treatment, though Krueger said the wound was reportedly non-life threatening.

Krueger did not have more information on the case as of Monday morning.
