Madge O. (Arnold) Erickson, 102, of Austin, died Monday, April 28, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin. Madge received excellent care over the last 12 months at St. Mark’s Living Center in Austin. She was a loving, caring, generous mother and grandmother to five generations.

Madge is survived by her three grandchildren of Raleigh, N.C.; Danny Johnson, Jeff Johnson and Barbara J. Smith. Madge has six great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter J. Erickson, her daughter, Dona Arnold Johnson and son-in-law Eldon F. Johnson. The family would like to thank Madge’s care givers at St. Mark’s and Todd Nolta.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2014, at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel, 1801 4th St NW, Austin Minn., followed by a family burial at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will take place from 1:30 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105 or www.stjude.org in memory of Madge.
