The Austin baseball team lost both games of a doubleheader to Rochester Century by scores of 8-2 and 5-3 in Dick Seltz Field Friday.

The Packers (1-6 overall, 1-6 Big Nine) led 1-0 after five innings in the nightcap, but Century scored five unearned runs in the sixth to take the lead for good.

Jacom Kempen pitched five and two-thirds innings while allowing zero earned runs in the loss.

“Teams are not going to be successful when giving opponents five outs in an inning and falling behind batters and having to lay a right in their wheel house,” Austin head coach Chris Gogolewski said. “Jacob threw a great game and showed excellent senior leadership all around.”
