Alumni update: DeBoer hitting well at St. Cloud State

BASEBALL
Austin grad Gabe Kasak has played in 18 games this season for the University of Sioux Falls (17-28 overall) this season.
Kasak is hitting .156 with one RBI in his freshman season with the Cougars.
Hayfield grad Tyler Nelson is leading Bemidji State University in batting this season.
Nelson, a junior, is hitting .355 and he leads the team with 31 runs scored. He has six doubles, one triple and seven RBIs for the Beavers (19-18 overall).
Nelson, who is playing shortstop, was 3-for-5 with an RBI and run in a 3-2 win over St. Cloud State April 26.
Hayfield grad Tyler Krekling has played in 30 games this season for Concordia-St. Paul (25-11 overall). Krekling, a junior who is playing in the outfield, is hitting .242 with three doubles and 18 RBIs.
SOFTBALL
Blooming Prairie grad Erica Manske is 2-0 with Luther College (27-6 overall) this season and she has pitched in six games. Manske has an ERA of 2.00 in 14 innings and she has struck out nine.
Manske’s last appearance was April 5 in a 6-3 loss to Simpson.
Blooming Prairie grad Tricia DeBoer is second in hitting for St. Cloud State University this season. DeBeor is hitting .308 with five doubles, eight RBIs and 16 runs scored.
Blooming Prairie grad Shelbi Swenson has played in 25 games at Bethel College (21-14 overall) this season. Swenson is hitting .224 with a triple and four RBIs.
Austin grad Danielle Tschann has played in three games for St. Thomas (33-5 overall) this season. Tschann is 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
Austin grad Molly Maschka has played in 11 games for Waldorf College (35-9 overall) this season. Maschka is hitting .333 with an on-base percentage of .400 and she has one double and three RBIs.
TRACK AND FIELD
Austin grad Tim Erickson, who is running track at St. Olaf College, took seventh in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.70 at the SMU Invite in Winona April 26.
Erickson took fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.74 in the MAC Twilight meet in Minneapolis April 24.
Southland grad Elizabeth May is on the La Crosse track and field team this year. She ran the third fastest time in the 400-meter dash for UWL UW-Plateville Invite (1:00.98) and Phil Esten Challenge (1:00.52).
