The Packers cruised past Blue Earth by a score of 7-0 as they won every match in two sets.
Austin (4-1 overall) is off to one of its best starts in recent memory and junior Seth Hebrink said the team is feeling good abut where it is.
“It’s awesome,” Hebrink said. “It’s always nice to get a good win like that and for the team and it gives us a good push.”
Hebrink won his No. 3 singles match 6-3, 6-1 and he was the last Packer playing. He said its important to stay focused, even when all of the other matches are finishing up.
“You kind of want to just get done and beat up on them if you can,” Hebrink said. “You’ve got to take your time, stay patient and take your shots.”
Austin junior Justin Bergemann won his match 6-2, 6-0 and he said the nice weather helped give the Packers a boost.
“It feels pretty good to win,” he said. “Last week was so cold and it was perfect today. It was fun.”
