Patty Lou Tufte-Stanley, 62, of Princeton/Zimmerman, Minn., died Feb. 16, 2014. At Mercy Medical Center Coon Rapids MN.
Patricia Louise was born on Aug. 28, 1951, in Austin, Minn., to Robert and Margaret (Mertens) Tufte. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church Lyle MN. She graduated from Lyle High School in 1969. She also graduated from Metro State in Minneapolis MN. With a degree in accounting.
In 1972, she married Richard Dobson they later divorced. In 1995, she married Joe Stanley of Princeton, Minn. Patty Lou loved to sew and crochet and she was an avid cook and loved canning vegetables from her garden. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren teaching them to cook and bake and sew.
Patty is survived by her husband Joe of Princeton/Zimmerman; her sons, Dan Dobson of Big Lake; Pastor Charles Dobson of Milaca; and Tim Anderson of Minneapolis; step children, Jacob Stanley of Texas; Samuel Stanley of Princeton; Kasie Wallen of Anoka; and Melanie Dobson of Minneapolis; her 12 precious grandchildren; sister Gayle (Mark) Patterson; and a niece; Hannah and two nephews, Bobby and John Patterson of St. Ansgar, Iowa; brother Dale Tufte of Austin, Minn.; sister by friendship Anita (Dale) Blakebrough of Zimmerman; and other family members and a world of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Margaret Tufte.
Service to be held at the VFW Backroom at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9, with son, Pastor Charles Dobson officiating.
