Austin High School senior Ochudo Cham was named Austin Noon Kiwanis Student of the Month for February.

Cham runs for both the cross country and track teams; she is a link crew leader; she participated with youth leadership, and she is on the Taste of Nations committee. She’s also in a math league.

She plans to attend college at the North Central University in Minneapolis, and she is tentatively planning to major in medicine.

“My parents had the most influence on me, because they always tell me to never give up on my learning,” she wrote. “They always tell me to believe in myself.”
