Louise continued living in Elkton until January 2011, when she moved into an assisted living apartment in Adams. Since December 2012, she had been at the Adams Health Care Center. For many years, she was active in all activities of her church, St. John’s Lutheran, Elkton. She also participated in the American Red Cross, Elkton Booster Club, and Farm Bureau. Her kitchen was her “castle” where you could always find a great home-cooked meal, plenty of conversation and of course there was always time for playing cards!

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son James in 1963, and three brothers.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Ann (Donald) Pederson, of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren: Kristi, of York, Penn.; Mark (Katarina), of New York City; and Nadine, of Seattle, Wash.; great-grandchildren: Andrew and Elena, of York, Penn.; Sebastian and Gabriel, of New York City; sister: Lillian Grundmeier, of Sandstone, Minn.; nieces and nephews; special friend Linda and Gene Krull and family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Elkton with the Rev. Liz Erickson officiating. Interment will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Adams Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and at the church on Saturday for one hour before the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials.
