Donnamae Evelyn Cockrell, 68, of Austin, died unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, March 20, 2014.

Donnamae was born in Austin on Dec. 3, 1945, to Donald Everett and Julia Bertha (Koenigs) Belden. She graduated from Austin High School and moved to Las Vegas. Donnamae worked as an underwriter for several different loan companies throughout the Las Vegas area. She moved back to Austin in 2008.

Donnamae enjoyed reading and watching old movies.

She is survived by her siblings; Joseph (Liz) Belden of Emillea Island, Fla.; Rosemary Brown of Austin; Liz Thomas of Charles City, Iowa; Vivian (Harold) Stockel of Charles City, Iowa; Mildred Hedum of LaCross, Wis.; Judy Viers of Greene, Iowa; Deborah (Byron) Gardner of Andover, Minn. and James (Laurie) Belden of Dodge Center, Minn.; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Donnamae was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald Everett Belden Jr. and a sister, Sharon Wentzel.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at Mayer Funeral Home with Fr. John Traufler officiating. Visitation will start an hour prior to the service. Burial will be private.
