The Austin City Council will discuss the Vision 2020 Gateway to Austin Committee’s Visitor’s Center project, e-cigarettes, branding and more at its upcoming public meeting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, March 3.
The council will hear about a potential new visitor’s center for Austin from Vision 2020 organizers, as a sub-committee is in the process of choosing an architect to explore what a visitor’s center would look like for Austin.
In addition, the council will continue its discussion on potentially regulating e-cigarettes, which could include a moratorium of up to one year on e-cigarette sales in town. The council will take no formal action on the moratorium Monday as council members will discuss potential ordinances during its work session.
Council members will also hear about new branding efforts for the city of Austin.
