Ten Austin students were recognized and rewarded at the 28th annual ACCESS Scholarship Awards Banquet on March 24 at the Hormel Historic Home. Recipients were selected from a pool of more than 100 applicants by members of the Chamber’s Business Education Committee.

Cash scholarships ranging from $200 to $1,500 were awarded to six eighth-grade and four 12th-grade students.

The ACCESS Scholarship program was established in 1988 by members of the Austin Area Chamber of Commerce. Since inception more than $186,000 has been awarded to more than 250 Austin students. Scholarship dollars are provided by Chamber member business sponsorships. This year, 43 businesses contributed.
