Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services reported several customers were still experiencing power outages in Mower and Freeborn counties as of Friday afternoon after Thursday’s snowstorm.

Though line crews were working to restore power, the process was going slower than expected, and it was likely several homes won’t have power restored until Saturday.

Freeborn-Mower was urging members with outages to prepare for an overnight outage just in case.

Officials thanked members for their patience and understanding while crews worked to get everyone back online during the widespread outage.
