Judy Garland, Lana Turner, James Stewart and Hedy Lamarr will have to wait.
The Paramount Theatre has rescheduled the Thursday showing of the 1941 drama “Ziegfeld Girl,” part of its Paramount Movie Series, due to the weather. “Ziegfeld Girl” will instead play at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26.
The Paramount operated as a movie theater from 1929 to 1975. As part of the theater’s 85th anniversary, Paramount officials plan to show a movie from every decade the Paramount was open. The plan is to show movies that played at the Paramount.
“Ziegfeld Girl” was released in 1941 and tells the story of three women with showbiz aspirations hoping to attain the title of “Ziegfeld Girl.” It stars James Steward, Judy Garland, Hedy Lamarr and Lana Turner.
