“We were just throwing pucks at the net left and right and it was chaos at the net,” Austin head coach Erik LaRock said.

Austin had led 3-2 going into the third after Jason Stoulil scored on a one-timer on assists from Jace Greenman and Alec Pepper near the end of the second period. Alec Bawek and Nick Castellano also scored goals for the Packers and Connor Poczos had 44 saves.

“This year was a learning year,” LaRock said. “It was a good game and we fought really hard. We had our chances, but I think it goes to show how much we need to work in the offseason. We’ll have a lot of guys back next year and we need to keep working at it.”
