The Hayfield girls basketball team had trouble shooting from the outside as it lost 58-56 to La Crescent (10-9 overall, 6-6 HVL) in Hayfield Monday.

The Vikings (16-4 overall, 10-3 HVL) went 3-for-22 on 3-pointers and they missed a game-winning 3 at the buzzer.

“We just didn’t shoot very well tonight and it hurt us against a decent team,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said.

Hayfield forced 24 turnovers in the loss.
