The No. 7 seeded Austin girls hockey team had its season end on a 5-1 loss at No. 2 New Prague (15-11 overall) in the opening round of the Section 1A tournament Wednesday.

The Packers (6-17-3 overall) trailed 3-1 going into the third, when the Trojans added two goals to put it away.

Mara Overby had 35 saves for the Packers, who had 15 shots on goal.

Madison Overby scored Austin’s only goal on an assist from Chloe Summerfield.
