The county’s human services department should have an answer Tuesday on whether it can hire new employees.

After delaying the motion at a recent meeting, the Mower County board is slated to approve or deny a requested staff increase in the department during Tuesday’s regular board meeting, which begins at 1 p.m. The request for new positions was made during the 2014 budget discussions.

The board will also hear from Justin Hanson, water plan coordinator, about a request to approve and submit the 2014 and 2015 Board of Water & Soil Resources Natural Resources Block Grant Agreement.
