The Mayo Clinic Health System — Austin Auxiliary met Jan. 31 to discuss its future and recognize volunteers.
The Auxiliary didn’t have an executive board in 2013 but plans to elect one this year. In addition, Auxiliary members plan to find new ways to volunteer after losing opportunities to work at the gift shop and coffee shop inside the Austin hospital.
The group recognized 81 volunteers for their work in 2013 as well. Joanne Jensen earned an 8,000-hour volunteer pin, while Karen Olson and Toni Watts earned a 6,000-hour volunteer pin and Marilyn Wilson earned a 5,000-hour volunteer pin.
