Blooming Prairie boys beat Maple River in OT

The Blooming Prairie boys basketball team held on to beat Maple River (11-13 overall) 78-77 in overtime on the road Tuesday.

The Awesome Blossoms (14-8 overall, 8-5 Gopher) never trailed in the game and they held off a late rally to get the win.

“They had beaten us earlier this season by thirty, so this win was huge for us,” BP head coach John Bruns said.

John Rumpza had 25 points, 15 rebounds and six blocks for BP and sophomore Anthony Nelson had 19 points, six rebounds, five steals and four assists.
