Ralph A. Rasmussen, 90, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at home in Grand Meadow, Minn.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Grand Meadow Lutheran Church in Grand Meadow, with Pastor Beth Krolak presiding. Burial will be in Grand Meadow Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Friday. Hindt Funeral Home Grand Meadow, Minn., is in charge of arrangements.
Ralph was born on Jan. 31, 1923, son of Andrew and Nickolena (Jensen) Rasmussen in Frankford Township, Mower County. He attended rural Grand Meadow schools through the eighth grade. He farmed in the Grand Meadow are and was a mechanic for many years at Marzolf Implement in Spring Valley. He was a member of the Grand Meadow Lutheran Church. On Sept. 25, 1968, he married Edith Klusmeier Rasmussen at the Grand Meadow Lutheran Church.
Ralph is survived by his step-daughter, Donna Hall, of Grand Meadow; step-son, Roger (Alice) Rasmussen, of Wykoff, Minn.; several step-grandchildren; step-great grandchildren; and step-great great grandchildren; a sister-in-law Betty Rasmussen and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Edith, in 2001; three sisters and six brothers.
