Packer boys hockey team falls to Century

The Austin boys hockey team let an early lead slip away as it lost 4-2 at Rochester Century Saturday.
Blake Halsey scored in the first period for the Packers (2-13-1 overall, 1-8 Big Nine) and Tony Baudler scored in the second period to put Austin up 2-0, but the Panthers (10-8 overall, 8-2 Big Nine) added with three goals in a three minutes stretch to take a 3-2 lead.
Century put the game away when it scored on an empty netter with 39 seconds left in the game.
Nick Casetellano and Adam Maxfield had assists for Austin and Connor Poczos stopped 24 shots.
Austin had just 12 shots in the loss.
“We are still struggling getting shots on net,” Austin head coach Erik LaRock said. “We’re in the game, we’re just not shooting quick enough.”
