The Hayfield boys basketball team took care of business in a 58-28 win over Pine Island (12-7 overall, 8-5 HVL) in Hayfield Friday.

The Vikings (16-3 overall, 10-2 HVL) forced 36 turnovers in the win.

“We won the turnover battle and we cruised to a victory a tall and talented Pine Island team that just didn’t have the guards to match up with us,” Hayfield head coach Fred Kindschy said.

Hayfield led 36-8 at the half.
