Colleen (Cain) Zrucky, 1942-2014

Colleen passed peacefully to rejoin her creator and loved ones. She will be deeply missed by her children, Nichol (David) Jacobsen, of Woodbury, Minn.; and Jeffrey Zrucky, of Burnsville; grandchildren, Justin and Alexa Jacobsen and Joseph Zrucky; eight siblings, and a host of relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by grandchild, Mathew David Jacobsen; parents, Curvallor and Irene Cain (Heus)

and two siblings, Helen Heemsbergen and Steven Thomas Cain. Colleen worked in the area of education, travel and real estate. She loved the arts, nature and family times at the lake. Although she endured a long bout with breast cancer, she remained a curious, talented and creative soul. She moved through her universe with love, faith, humor and grace. A special thanks to Dr. Andrzej Petryk at MN Oncology of Maplewood, Minn., the staff at The Pillars and Health East Hospice and to all who helped her on her final journey. A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Friday, Feb 7, 2014, at Kok Funeral Home, 7676 – 80th Street S. Cottage Grove with visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of service. A private Interment will be held in the spring at Cottage Grove Cemetery.
