Ann Marie Miller, 65

Ann Marie Miller, 65, of Blooming Prairie, Minn., died at her home Friday morning, Jan. 24, 2014, after a six-month battle with cancer.
She was born Sept. 3, 1948, in Austin, Minn., the daughter of Marvin and Elvera Pauline (Hilbrich) Maricle. She grew up in Austin and graduated from Austin High School in 1966. Ann lived in Austin and on Sept. 4, 1976, she was united in marriage to Lawrence “Larry” Richard Miller. The couple made their home and raised their family on a farm in Newry Township, Freeborn County, Minn. After Larry’s death on April 29, 2004, Ann moved to Blooming Prairie. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and WCCW of Newry Township. Ann enjoyed reading, baking, watching her grandchildren and collecting Elvis memorabilia.
Survivors include her children, Ginger (Mike) Williams, of Kensett, Iowa; Teresa (Todd) Drees, of Blooming Prairie; Karen (Barry) Tienter, of Rollingstone, Minn.; Bonnie (Ryan) Trotman, of Northfield, Minn.; Tina (Erick) Borgen and Mark (Vanessa) Miller, all of Blooming Prairie; 17 grandchildren, A.J. (Kelli), Kenna, Jennifer, Samantha, Brett, Derek, Garret, Kara, Bryce, Julia, Keandra, Camden, Tristen, Kassidy, Avery, Sierra and Emma; one great-grandchild; four step-children, Linda (Steve) Enstad, of Austin; Nancy (Del) Mullenbach, of Owatonna, Minn.; Diane Wollenburg, of Waseca, Minn.; and Debbie (Boyd) Johnston, of Owatonna; 13 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great grandchildren; a brother, Arnold “Butch” (Cheryl) Maricle of Austin; three nieces, Brenda, Pauline and Rebecca “Becky”; one nephew, Andrew and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; granddaughter, Arianna Trotman; sister, Lois Egland and two brothers, Robert and Allen.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at the Worlein — Blooming Prairie Funeral Home in Blooming Prairie. At Ann’s request no formal services will be held following the visitation. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Newry Township in the spring.
